Heart · Unity · Nature · Tradition

Healing the land. Healing the people.

A conservation pathway where stewardship and traditional skills restore land and people.

Conservation First

A hunt, and a way back to the land

The H.U.N.T. Path is Heart-J Center's conservation initiative for veterans, new hunters, and families. It puts stewardship, wildlife, and traditional skills at the center of every experience.

Participants restore habitat before they ever pick up a bow or rifle. They learn tracking, ecology, and ethics from mentors who work this ground year-round.

What people carry home is resilience, brotherhood, and a lasting responsibility to the landscape that held them.

Cow elk conservation retreat

Coming 2027

The long-term vision of the H.U.N.T. Path: four days and three nights on Heart-J Center land for a small group of veterans, guided by Pathfinders and horses.

Cedar Park Hub, the Resilience Trail, Cow Camp, and Big Valley. Wall tents, shared tables, and a fire every night.

Horse-Supported Movement

Riders and stock reach country machines cannot. Orientation, safety, and quiet travel come first.

Fire Circles

Every evening ends around a fire. Story, reflection, and peer support led by veteran Pathfinders.

Ethical Hunting & Tracking

Guided cow-elk hunting with strict firearm protocols, a gratitude pause at harvest, and shared field care.

Land Stewardship

Leave No Trace practice and stewardship conversations woven into each day on the ground.

The work happens on the land. The change happens around the table.

The Model

Everything here is connected

Stewardship supports wildlife. Wildlife teaches tradition. Tradition builds community. Community carries people toward resilience and healing.

The land holds all of it, and asks for care in return.
