What’s YOUR vision for the future of Sylvan Dale?

Join us Thursday, August 17th from 4:30 to 6:00 pm to share your ideas in conversation with your fellow community leaders

With 3,000 acres of possibilities, we’re looking to community leaders for input on refining the vision for the future of this incredible place.

This is a hidden webpage, visible only to those who’ve been invited to the August 17th VIP gathering. We hope you will join us to share your thoughts and ideas for how Sylvan Dale Ranch can serve our community.

Once you rsvp using the form
to the right, Laura will send you
the details for the August 17th vision event.

We will host additional events (open to the public) on September 7, 8, and 9th. If you would like to be part of refining the vision for the Ranch, but are unable to attend on August 17th, please check the box in the rsvp section above for more info about the September events or contact Laura to schedule a private tour.

Sylvan Dale Guest Ranch

The Jessup Family has owned Sylvan Dale, in the foothills west of Loveland, since 1946. Wanting to honor their parents’ legacy and ensure the Ranch stays open to serve future generations, second generation owners David Jessup and Susan Jessup have begun the process of donating Sylvan Dale to become a nonprofit community organization, serving Northern Colorado and beyond.

Heart-J Center for Experiential Learning

The non-profit Heart-J Center for Experiential Learning launched at Sylvan Dale in 2014. HJC started as an experiment, to see what types of classes, field trips, and retreats might make sense with Sylvan Dale’s 3,000 acres as an outdoor classroom. HJC has served more than 22,000 people of all ages. The transition process is a merger between Sylvan Dale and Heart-J Center. The first step in the transition process was completed in 2021 with the donation of 960 acres of backcountry land in the foothills west of Sylvan Dale’s main ranch.

Once the transition is complete, many things will stay the same. The ranch will still be called Sylvan Dale. It will still offer guest ranch vacations, weddings, holiday dinners, picnics, and business retreats. At the same time, the number and variety of educational and wellness programs, research projects, and community partnerships will grow over time. New buildings will be built to replace the lodging and meeting space lost in the 2013 flood.

HJC is working with the Jessup Family to define the vision for the future of Sylvan Dale. Your input is critical to make sure that the “new” Sylvan Dale meets the needs of people from Northern Colorado and beyond as a vibrant, sustainable community organization.

We’ll look forward to seeing you on August 17th
